jacob who jumped down on you?

anyway looks like it will be 54.99 at blockbuster.

not a good price but i have tons of customers who come in there and pay nearly full retail, even though bestbuy or CC are only a few minutes away.
i dont get it.

I'm starting to get indications that some Sunday flyers may, indeed, post "low prices" instead of firm figures on this release. Posted Image

Matt: If you are talking about the FYE rebates...FYE/Coconuts/Transworld stores allow their customers to use the bar codes on the price sticker on the cellophane shrink wrap which surrounds the item. No mutilation of the packaging is required.

shows 49.99 when i just looked.

Sorry for the confusion, Tony. I re-wrote that line to include the rebate info posted a few lines lower in the thread.

I only got a quick glimpse of our ad at work, but it looked like Target will have it for either $44.99 or $45.99.

Let the games begin!

Our first in-store price! An excellent source confirms that the Target in-store price Tuesday will be: $44.99

Grid adjusted above to reflect the price.

Sounds like FYE (.com or B&M) will be the low price leader after rebate:

$52.99 ($49.99 + PA Tax) - $15 (rebate) + $0.37 (postage) = $38.36

As posted previously, it is highly unlikely that anyone would beat that price (even Wal*Mart would likely be higher with tax -- not to mention gas and other mileage costs).

Just got this, the source I believe is V.G. and dependable.

But everybody's got to keep in mind that that deal is only good on a PRE-ORDER. You can't walk in on Tuesday (or order on-line Tuesday) and expect to get the rebate.

So, we're going to have to make up our minds early on that deal. And you know how much we hate committment! Posted Image

Now THAT is a good sign! I'm still thinking Wal-Mart is gonna end up being the place to go. I only wish I had a Fry's near me.

Amazon.com = $37.79 with Share the Love, no shipping, no rebate, no sales tax, no gas, no mileage. + if you use a9.com you can get an extra 1.57% discount.

I also read that the Fry's deal is a "Tuesday Only" price and there's a limit of one copy per person.

Our San Jose Fry's has their ad at $36.99 which is the lowest I've seen for a B&M w/o rebates so far. I think it has room to go lower, probably WallyWorld will beat it somewhere locally.

True, but since you've preordered it, it doesn't mean you are obiligated to keep it (B&M of course). You can always return it if you find it cheaper elsewhere. Just call your preorder insurance against price increases. You have until 10/21 to turn in the rebate so that should give you enough time to figure out who has the best price over the following weeks.

Sorry, you're right. An early commitment (even Monday or Tuesday) would be needed Posted Image . Won't you have all your B&M info in by then? I went ahead and made the 'commitment'. Even if Wal*Mart comes in a buck or two lower (say $34.99) it would still be close, after taxes, and in my case involve a 20 mile round trip Posted Image .

Go to dvdtalk.com/stl and sign up for their service. It allows people to request items they want Sahre the Love discounts for, and then when someone buys an item, they copy those e-mails into the Share The Love box and the discounts get sent out.
Obviously, Star Wars is very popular this week. I've received over a dozen e-mails with STL discounts.

Joe
