Thanks to those who pointed me in good directions to find options on what to do with my old AR-9 speakers. Now instead of looking to dump them, I'm seriously considering refurbishing them. And now my question is do I, as a clueless fool, try to rely on my natural intelligence to attempt refurbing my speakers on my own (with help from online guides and advice via the Web), or do I take the sensible but more expensive path of finding someone to do it for me. I'll post on AVS and a couple other forums as well, but I live in Arlington, VA in the Wash DC area -- are there any reputable/good speaker refurb experts near me? These speakers are over 100 pounds each and having to ship them someplace will seriously affect my decision of what to do next. Thanks for any suggestions.
