and now i remember why i don't eat them.

due to various factors, it's just been a really long time since i've eaten one. but, driving around for lunch today, i saw them golden arches, pulled in, and thought to myself, "gee sugartastic t love ... a big mac sounds mighty tasty right about now."

man, that thing was nasty. i'm positive i bit on something that must have been (at least god i hope it was) bone material. plus, some nice gristle as well.

ever really look at the meat in a big mac? i swear to you, it doesn't look like real hamburger meat. it's kinda plasticky, really thin, and the color is kinda grey.

i think i'm good to go for another year thank you very much.

ps, i praise buddah every day for the in-n-out burger joint that opened up not too far from my house. :emoji_thumbsup:

How ironic - I had a big mac for the first time in several years today. You are absolutley correct, it was nothing like I remembered. It looked so small, I could swear they used to be a lot bigger. Plus, I didnt feel that great for the rest of the day. Very dissapointed. At least the fries were good.

Avoid. The fond remembrances of youth fade over time. You start to realize that, no matter how far the drive, an In-N-Out Double-Double will be an infinitely richer spiritual experience. And even the fries are better. Just say no!

I have only had In and Out Burger once, but "in my opinion" no one has better fried than McDonald's. They better not screw them up like the rest of the chains have been with these "crispy" fries or whatever they call them... They also better not be forced to change them.

Oh and back to the real subject, I like Big Mac's but don't eat them often. Is it a thread fart if you come in to praise something that every one else is knocking? ;)

If so, I apologize, but please cut me some slack it's my birthday...

Happy Birthday! But keep eating too many more Big Macs and you might not see too many more. :)

It's not a thread fart if the thread creator was slamming the product to begin with.

Maybe fart's not a term that should be used in conjunction with McDonald's. Just thinking about a Big Mac makes me have to.

No In-N-Out's here, although I've had them before when visiting relatives in California. They've got good stuff, but I don't think it's as good as everyone says it is. I'm doing fine with Wendy's.

I have a friend that was an assistant manager at a McD's several years ago. He has never eaten a Big Mac!

Oooh, Wendy's has a damn fine burger, too. No slamming the triple at all.

mmm... big macs are my fav burgers at McD's... with a healthy blob of McChicken sauce...

artery-clogging goodness.

oooh, and Fries dipped in McChicken sauce... *drool*

However, I'd ratehr take a Wendy's Taco Supremo salad over a Big Mac... that has always been a long favourite of mine for many, many years (i recall eating it waaaay before the whole low-carb fast-food salad craze came about).

Big fries man from McDonalds. I also love their shakes, but every now and again the chocolate shakes taste like strawberry.

I regularly get a double cheesburger, a large fries (formerly Super Size), and a chocolate McShake.

Depending on whether the double cheeseburger and McShake are on the Dollar Menu that given week, the whole she-bang runs me under two bucks.:emoji_thumbsup:

NickSo: I used to dunk my fries in the chicken sauce stuff myself and everyone would give me weird looks and laugh at me.

chicken nuggets!

(not those new fangled "real" chicken nuggets - give me the pressed meat!) especially on road trips...i crave those little buggers big-time. (must be a mental thing...)

In n' Out, Schmin n' Out. Step up to Fatburger. Yo, that's just the name. Makes In-N'-Out look like a tiny-ass bun o' lettuce. What is up with all the Iceberg?

Wendy's is real tasty as of late.

I wish I was as poplar as theted's Big Mac.

Funny you say this. I had my first McDonald's vanilla shake in decades a few weeks ago. The first third tasted like strawberry, the second third tasted like strawberry-chocolate, and the last third tasted like vanilla.

Now, Fatburgers truly are incredible, but they're not exactly on every block. Well worth the drive, however, no matter how far.
