Ain't It Cool News has a link to the first teaser for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!!! One of my favorite books, radio shows, and movies (okay, television movies)!!! I can't wait! If it's half as funny as the BBC version, it's gonna rock!

Here's the direct link.

Can't get it to play, codec error. What format is it?

Try right clicking on the link and saving it. That's how I got it to play.

That's a Real Media version of the trailer that worked for me.

Perfect teaser. Doesn't show much, but it sure as hell gets the point across. Thanks for the RM link, WMP for the Mac is absolute crap.

Moe.

Edit: Got the RM site to load... cute teaser! I like the little number in the upper left corner. For those of you who've read the book, it'll bring a smile to your face. Posted Image

I didn't notice it either! Nice touch, though, especially for fans.

Is this, then, a different version from the BBC stuff that is already on DVD? I can't wait if it is, and my brother will probably lose it, too!Posted Image

Yes it is a different version, to be released sometime this summer (?). I sure hope they did it right. The books, especially the first three, were so right on that it will be hard for a movie to keep up. I'll hope for the best but expect something a little less. Maybe Pixar should have done this. An actor playing Ford Prefect and everything else computer generated. Like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" only backwards. Or, maybe not. P.S. Don't forget your towel!
"Everyday room": Panasonic 58" Plasma, Dish HD DVR, Pioneer Elite vsx-23, BDP-23 BR, dv58avi universal dvd player, Paradigm Studio 20 V1, CC-450, Dayton HSU-10 subwoofer.

"Movie/Music room": Toshiba 65" DLP, Dish HD receiver, Marantz 7005, CC-4003, BD-7006, Polk LSI25's-LSi7's-LSiC, 2 original Dayton 10" "Mighty-Mites" subwoofers. (subject to change without notice).

Also have  MB Quart Vera VS05 +.....too much to list. Help me.

It got yanked.

Okay... the inevitable has occurred... Disney sent us a politely worded cease-and-desist that's sorta hard to ignore, and we have to take this offline now. Evidently, it'll be back up later tonight at www.amazon.com and the IMDb, so as soon as they have it up, I'll run a new link for it. Sorry to those of you who didn't get a chance to peek.
