Now that many of the cast members' names are starting to be leaked and that the premiere date was announced (9/16), I thought it's about time we began this thread.

I'm hoping this season is better than SAS. I enjoyed it but I agree with Probst; the game is better played with strangers.

I agree as well. While it was fun to watch some old favorites (and old people-I'd-smack), it's better with strangers. SAS didn't hold my interest as much as previous editions did.

First news I've heard about 9.

There are going to be 18 contestants this season, according to a CBS promo! Which means two more episodes!

Of course if there are two tribes as SF is reporting, that means there will be a gender imbalance...

If it's 18 players, they could be split into 3 tribes from the onset, which would yield the same number of each gender.

It sounds like it's going to be men vs. women to start the season.
