Been feelin the need to start a garage band? Practice, buy guitar strings, and book your gig at the Howard-Johnson's only to find the other local band already is using the name 'Hitler stole my potato'? Now I present the HTF make-your-own band name thread. That way, when you get around to rockin...you can just grab a new name and get a record deal!

"Kurt in Drag" (My friends and I believe that Courtney Love is actually Kurt Cobain in drag.)
"Stinky Pinky"

If I had a cover band it would be:
"They might be They Might Be Giants"

I need me a new DJ name. If this is thread-crapping, I'll start my own. I just figure since you're going after band names, you might be able to suggest some DJ names for me :P

I've been using a band name for my imaginary punk band for years... only, it could never really be used in public.

Hmm..
I've got a few candidates for group names, if I ever get into that line of business:

RAP, R&B and HIP HOP:

Public Enema (or Public Enema Number One, I haven't decided)
Tone Def
Ham'n'Cheez (opening act for Salt'N'Peppa)
Ice Trey
Two Live Jews (if the Beastie Boys ever lose a member, they can have this one)
NWA (Nannies With Attitudes)
Lay-Z
The Notorious F.A.T. (a.k.a. Sir-Eats-A-Lot)
Ballz II Men

PUNK:

The No-Sex Pistols (a band for married men only)
The Blueballs (ditto)
Good Religion (a Christian punk band)

GENERAL USE:

The Backdoor Boys
The Poo Poo Platters (a 50's cover band)
Penis Envy (a eunuch band)
The Viagras (for the older crowd)
Pink Freud
The Great Unwashed
The Worst and the Dullest
Generation X-Rated

A former friend of mine always favored this name for an angry heavy metal band:

GOD'S LEFT NUT
Matheson- "There are probably some who'll say that by doing this, we are interfering with their culture."

Gideon - "Probably. Screw them."
-Crusade, Visitors from Down the Street
