From the last thread that was closed, about Eurotrip. The new SKU #'s are: 91887 Full Frame 91886 they replace: 91694 91774 FUll Frame I'm really not sure what the changes were, Dreamworks was cagey about it.

Still a couple days left in the Deep Discount 20% sale in case anybody's after this. Not sure, but it might be cheaper than in the stores.

Looks like Deep Discount DVD is already selling the replacement SKUs.
Three truths about movies, as noted by Roger Ebert:

* It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.
* No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.
* No good movie is depressing, all bad movies are depressing.

Perhaps the SKU was changed because child pornography is illegal under federal and state laws prohibiting the depiction of minors in sexual acts.

Louis: What on Earth do "child pornography" and EUROTRIP have to do with one another? Vincent

I think they are talking about that small girl peeing in the end credits - at least that was what was talked about in the other thread. But anyone who considers that 'a sexual act' should maybe start seeking professional help.

Also, exactly how do you know she was peeing? Why couldn't she be rigged with a hose to make it SEEM that she is peeing? After all, it IS a movie, not a documentary.

If you consider that a sexual act, don't have kids or you'll have to turn yourself in for watching your toddler perform a sexual act ten times a day, more if the weather's hot.

That's clearly what happened - the kid didn't actually piss on camera. But this is still a weird turn for the thread...

I have an idea: why don't we "elevate" this thread to this level and we can get this thread locked too.

To post in this thread you've better eat your minerals, 'cause I think it's gonna get rough.

yeah, i'd rather hear about what was actually changed instead of why it was changed, or why we shouldn't watch that. Once its revealed what actually changed, the thread could die. And i did find a copy of the old sku at entertainmart, a used and new store here, they had 2 left. The best buy i was at had like 40 copies of eurotrip, so i figured they were all new skus and they were. Tomorrow I'll have to take back the one i bought at best buy.

I wonder if stock at Blockbuster (the stores that carry WS Unrated) is being replaced as well.

I sincerely wanna hope that nothing was actually removed. Even though I wasn't overly impressed with the film, I don't like to see censorship of something so comparitively trivial, so I'm hoping it's just a technical recall or some such. The quietly surreptitious nature of the switch is a little unsettling, though.

Shane's right. Guess we'll have to wait and see if an HTF contributor watched one of the new versions before we can really begin to care. An acquaintance of mine actually picked up a copy in the states last night, but I'm not sure what SKU he got or even if he'd know what changes to look for. Maybe I'll check with him tonight about the now-infamous wee-wee scene.

As Patrick Sun mentioned in the previous thread, perhaps its time to head over to Best Buy (or wherever). The darn thing might turn into hot property if it turns out something was cut! Posted Image

My nearby Best Buy had plenty of the old version SKU, so I passed on getting it yesterday, but then I thought better of it, and while in Target during lunch today, I bought a copy with the old SKU, though there were copies with the new SKU on it already on the shelves at Target. I have 90 days to return it if it's been determined that there's no differences between to the 2 SKUs.
