What did any of you thought about the season finale of CSI: Miami that aired last night?

I thought that ending montage (akin to answering the Batphone and jumping on the Batpoles down to the Batcave) was so overone, and of course, we have H putting on his shades one more time to leads us gentle viewers into the summer abyss...

Valeria (Botti Bliss) went up on the intrigue factor with her relevatory tidbits in her conversation with Calleigh...

I have 3 observations:

1-That internal affairs guy needs an ass-kicking.
2-Does Speedle ever smile? I mean the guy gets asked out by a hot looking girl (who happens to be a porn star) and
his face remains the same as my monitor when turned off.
3-Emily Proctor(Calleigh) is still hot.

I sometimes find myself watching Miami more for the "Horatioisms" than the storylines. His character is so over the top, it makes the show.

Also, watching that medical examiner stroke and talk to the cadavers is also chilling (last night the overdrawn sponging of the dead porn star was plain wierd) - this show has one of the most quirky casts of any show in recent memory.

I watched it. Can't say that I enjoyed it, though. I never make time to watch this show, it's just that nothing else was on at that particular time. Wouldn't be heartbroken if it was cancelled. Way too overdone. Is this show done by the same people who produced the movie Armageddon?

I love Sofia Milos' performance on the show. She plays a great detective. I love her exotic beauty. She wears some funky threads, I might add.

I also thought the last scene was too trite, even for this show. There was never an episode where all four lead characters arrived at a crime scene at the same time. I also agree that David Caruso is the new William Shatner, but with better hair.

I liked the news (at least to me) that the young girl's daughter wasn't Horatio's child but his brother's. Thus, H took a hit to spare his sister-in-law's feelings, as well as his brother's rep.

She is but, man, she looks a lot older in HDTV than in standard def. Not bad, just older.

H's brother's daughter was revealed in a mid-season episode, but since H has decided to keep that a secret for the time being, we get these shots of H being this noble guy, sparing Yelina knowledge of Ray's infidelity, and taking care of his niece with child support to the mother.

I just can't seem to get into this series! I enjoyed Caruso in NYPD Blue and a few of his movie roles, but his acting here, along with the writing and requirement that every outdoor shot look like Miami is on Mars, is holding me back.

The one thing I like about CSI: Miami is that everyone on the show gets some screen time. It is an ensemble cast. Unlike Third Watch, most of the cop characters get more screen time than the paramedic and the firefighter characters these days.

I started out a fan of this show but it's wearing off on me now. Every character on the Miami team is so hostile it gets tiring sometimes.

I watch the show, but it's more of that "train wreck" syndrome than actually enjoying it. I just have to look, but afterwards I'm sorry I did. Caruso just really annoys me with his delivery and his constant being in the middle of everything just makes the show that much more unrealistic. Mix that with the overzealous medical examiner, characters that just aren't that likable - I don't know why I watch the show anymore. I've actually stopped firing up the projector so I could watch it in HDTV and just keep it on while I'm playing around on the computer.

Let me ask a procedural question (any help from an actual police officer would be greatly appreciated). In real life, do CSI's actually get involved with witness interrogation, arrests, search warrants of places OTHER than a crime scene, etc? I think both of the CSI shows give WAAAAAY to much authority to the CSI's.

I thought the "let's try to look like the opening scene from Law and Order" ,with all of them grouped together, walking to yet another crime scene a bit lacking with no real cliff hanger to think about for next season.

Go about 1/4-1/3 down the page and there is an email from a real life Crime scene type guy who goes into quite a bit of detail about what really happens and what doesn't.

I've had the very same question, more so for CSI:Miami than for CSI:Las Vegas. On Vegas, Grissom has to answer to the sheriff and even gets chewed out sometimes. On Miami, the CSI's don't seem to have to answer to anybody. I wish they would spend just a little time explaining the command structure on these shows, especially Miami.

I seriously doubt that many "real" CSI's go in with guns a-blazing like on these shows.

One specific question: Whatever happened to Calleigh's boyfriend, Det. John Hagen? I know they had a falling out but he seems to have disappeared.

This is something that bugs me about the CSI's. They start these little plot threads and then just completely drop them and never follow up on them.
