Some excellent choices there, Jimbo. Posted Image

Trotting out my usual favorites not on DVD:

Proof (1992) - Considering it stars Russell Crowe and Hugo Weaving and received excellent reviews, I really don't understand why this ain't out. WTF, New Line?
Voyager (1991)
Santa Sangre (1989)
Before the Rain (1994)
Night on Earth (1991)

I'll pop back in with IMDB links in a bit...

Proof

Voyager

Santa Sangre

Before the Rain

Night on Earth

Steve,

I don't remember where I read it but Santa Sangre is rumored to be in the works from Criterion. However as with all rumors - take that with a grain of salt. Posted Image

Santa Sangre from Criterion? Keeping my fingers crossed. Edited my above post to include links. Also dropped The Reflecting Skin (I'll let Walter nom it) and added Before the Rain.

Steve, why wait for a possible overpriced Criterion edition of Santa Sangre when you can be like me and own a nice 2-disc S.E. R2 from Anchor Bay complete with a Jodorowsky commentary Posted Image

Bill: I'll invest in an all-region player one of these days - I'm a poor movie enthusiast. I've seen R0 Santa Sangre DVDs on eBay; does anyone know if they're legit and of decent quality?

And good call on Red Sorghum - my favorite Zhang Yimou film. Posted Image

I see Justin has nominated The Reflecting Skin so...

The Quiet Earth
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
The Miracle of Morgan's Creek
The African Queen
Le Samourai

- Walter.

Fidelity to the source should always be the goal for Blu-ray releases.

I hate throwing out peoples automatics but Berlin Alexanderplatz was a TV miniseries. If it got a theatrical release let me know Brook & I’ll allow it, I just don’t want to open up this tourney to include Gilligans Island episodes & it’s ilk.

For those who've participated so far and HAVE PROVIDED LINKS - 5 more automatics Posted Image

For those who've participated so far and DID NOT PROVIDE LINKS - 1 more automatic. That’s what you get for making me work more :P)
And don’t bother editing them now because I Know Who You Are. Posted Image

For anyone who hasn't participated yet you still have 5 automatics.

My next 5 picks

Point Blank

Ride the High Country

Island of Lost Souls

Gojira (1954)

Sword of Doom

Again links are still optional. Posted Image
