Ok, whats the deal with Spelling and the studios? I can't find a clear answer anywhere except something vague on tvshowsondvd about 2005 release at the absolute earliest.

Anyone know any more details or hazard to make a guess about season releases?

I think the same deal as the other SPelling products (Charmed, etc). Paramount doesn't get the rights until next year, at which point they plan on releasing them.

Except for 7th Heaven, which is a Spelling show but seems to have a different deal than the others. I'm not familiar with the details, though. Maybe someone else around here is.

As for 90210, the Pilot Episode is being released by Artisan on June 15th, before their rights expire. They also have the option to release the "graduation" episode.

Artisan releases are likely to be re-hashes of the VHS editions from years ago, but at least it will be a cheap way to ease the pain while waiting for season sets!
