[/C]

This wave of Walt Disney Treasures includes: Chronological Donald Volume 1, Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume 2, Tomorrowland, Walt Disney on the Front Lines.

Some prices for new releases from stores not included in the RoundUp grid:

Sam’s Club: Miracle - $18.88, Paycheck - $18.22, Star Trek Voyager: S2 - $87.24, Torque - $18.62, Walt Disney Treasures - $21.47

K-Mart: Sex and the City: Season 6 Part 1 - $39.99, Paycheck - $19.99, You Got Served - $19.99, Miracle - $19.99

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including (or the ones Dave tells me he's looking for ;o)). In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. So, please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like Dave & I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart prices in the standard Roundup: Wal-Mart sets prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart location. When it comes to Wal-Mart prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Mileage May Vary".

**BE CAREFUL! Miracle AND Paycheck AND Torque are all available in both OAR and MAR versions...get the correct one!!!

--Amazon is still featuring free shipping on orders over $25. Restrictions apply.

--Target, this week, offers a deal on Miracle. If you buy Miracle ($15.99) with Remember the Titans ($9.99), save $5. $16 + $10 = $26. $26 - $5 = $21 for the two movies.

--I think its worth noting that Target is also running deals on Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. Both films are on sale at $14.99 each.

--Best Buy is running a similar deal to Target. You can buy Miracle ($17.99) with Do You Believe In Miracles? ($9.99) and get them 2/$20. $18 + $10 = $28. $28 - $20 = $8 in total savings.

--Best Buy is including a bonus disc in its copies of Star Trek Voyager: Season 2.

--Best Buy is also offering a deal on Sex and the City season sets. Buy any two seasons and save $10. Buy all six seasons and save $100. Season 1 = $32.99. Seasons 2 – 5 = $41.99. Season 6 = $32.99.

--This one will tempt me! Best Buy is offering $10 off if you buy both The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly SE ($19.99) AND The Great Escape SE ($19.99). $20 + $20 = $40. $40 - $10 = $30. $30/2 = $15 for each film with this deal!

--And, Best Buy is offering a deal on Smallville season sets. Save $15 when you buy both Smallville season sets 1 ($54.99) and 2 ($44.99). $55 + $45 = $100. $100 - $15 = $85. $85/2 = $42.50 apiece.

--There are some differences between bestbuy.com and the Best Buy flyer this week. Paycheck is listed at $17.99 at the website and $19.99 in the flyer. And, Smallville: S2 is listed at $41.99 at the website and $44.99 in the flyer.

--Circuit City is offering a free CD sampler with the purchase of You Got Served. It features Marques Houston, Young Rome & O’Ryan.

--Circuit City is also offering deals on Sex & the City season sets. Buy season six and save $15 when buying any other season.

Thanks Mike!

I already preordered WW and will get Voyager as well.

I hadn't planned on anything else but the Target Miracles/RTT deal is VERY TEMPTING! (yes believe or not I am one of the few people on the planet that doesn't have RTT yet).

The BB TGE and Good, Bad, & the Ugly is also tempting but I may have to pass due to cash and unfavorable reviews on TGE.

Hmmmmmmm.....

You might want to add Sam's to this disclaimer. My local Sam's almost never have the deals that are mentioned here. A lot of the time they don't even have the titles, and when they do, they are higher. Posted Image

Three truths about movies, as noted by Roger Ebert:

* It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

* No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.

* No good movie is depressing, all bad movies are depressing.

Well ... This is a big week for me, with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly SE; Around the World in 80 Days; and Farscape.

Since I was just recently able to snag Voyager-Season 1 for $63.99 at a local used DVD store (and the box had never been opened to boot!), I'm gonna' wait and see if Season 2 pops up there as well.

Deep Discount DVD has the Walt Disney Treasures Wave 3 Collection for $94.99 with free shipping of course. However, they don't state the titles. I'm assuming this should be all 4 DVDs. Does anyone know for sure?
