The latest issue of VIDEO WATCHDOG (#107) features an interview with Edith Scob, star of Georges Franju's EYES WITHOUT A FACE. At several points in the issue, it mentions Criterion's planning a release of the film sometime this year. Has anyone heard any confirmation of this? This is one of my most-wanted horror releases, and to get this in the same year as ONIBABA would be awesome. In the meantime, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

Criterion is the video distributor for Rialto Pictures. An Eyes Without a Face DVD is inevitable and most likely imminent.

That would be absolutely fantastic! Also, I heard a rumor that Criterion will be releasing Jean-Luc Godard's PIERROT LE FOU at some point soon. I love Criterion and I want to have their babies.
