Some info on this question. Based on my discussions with one of the employees, they said they get a list every Sunday evening with new titles to be added to the sale starting on the following Monday. So far they have had titles added every week since the sale started based on my observation. I would suspect that someone here knows for sure based on the knowledge of future additions in the master list in post 22.

Nope. Posted Image I just add whatever titles HV's site puts up on their "Coming Soon" list:

Updated the FAQ, and added about 50 new titles to the list. I'm not going to list them all here, but I did add a "Recently Added Titles" feature to the list. It's a mixture of arthouse flicks, foreign films, mainstream titles, big hits, major bombs, underrated titles, DTV movies...some are good, some are bad, some are mediocre, so buyer beware. Anyone seen whether Love Actually and The Cooler have shown up in the bin this week?

Current deals that are better than HV rentals (at the moment): Adaptation (2003) at Walmart for $7.50 new. Out of Time (2003) on sale at CC for $8 new.

It's update time again; added over 20 titles to the list, including some "oldies" I neglected the first time around (Narc, 28 Days Later), our first 2004 entry (Torque), a handful of underrated films from last year (Big Fish, So Close, Stuck on You, Melvin Comes to Dinner) and this year's Oscar winner for Best Picture (Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King). Check it out!

As of today, it is. But no one at HV is talking about next week yet. I guess things change on Sundays...

Normally I'd wait until next week to post this, but since a couple of people have been inquiring about a title on this list, I'll update now. The following upcoming titles come courtesy of Paul, who got the info from HV's newsletter:

Kill Bill: Volume 1
In America
Welcome to Mooseport
Scary Movie 3

Also added Pieces of April, another of those "could've sworn I added it to the list" entries.

The sale at HV in Athens, GA is 3/$30. Needless to say, I didn't look much further at those titles. But their was a sale on $9.99 previously viewed DVDs. They were 3/$20. Most of them were crap selections, though. Didn't find 3 that I wanted.

My local shop *finally* put out The Last Samurai and Love Actually. (Although I had to ask for a copy of Love Actually -- they weren't out on the shelf yet.)

The clerk was like "wow, you're buying *all* of those?!?!" Posted Image

The Last Samurai
Love Actually
Something's Gotta Give
Open Range
God, Sex & Apple Pie
Sinbad (Dreamworks animated)
Winged Migration
Endurance (feature film based on the excellent nonfiction book, not the IMAX or Branagh version)
Big Shot's Funeral
Stuck On You

Stopped by HV yesterday to pull my regular 'Hat Trick'. Got Kill Bill, Master & Commander, and Last Sam. Had to beg for LS because it wasn't suppose to be on sale today. Always ask when sale might be ending, this time clerk let slip that she thought it might run till Father's Day.

Last Samurai was supposed to be put out on on Monday night. It's on the corporate website. Some stores just didn't get around to it I think. I had to ask for Love Actually on Tuesday, but they didn't give me a hard time at all -- they just dug in the box and handed me a copy.

IIRC, they had it at the store next to Publix on Boynton and Congress. (No idea if that's anywhere near you!)

I'm waiting for the inevitable SE boxed set on that one, meself. Posted Image

Thanks Aaron, but I'm way north of S. Fla. Not a big deal and don't mind waiting. Just thought all stores would be the same.

Have to say, I got a little frustrated with HV this week. I guess I can blame the holiday for screwing things up. My habit lately is to show up on Monday and get three good new releases. This Monday, nothing got pulled and most of the big titles were listed for Tuesday instead. Again, this was probably due to the holiday, but since they had normal hours on Monday, why the change? Then I go back on Tuesday only to find that LS can't be sold till Wednesday, even though the flyer say 6/1. I get M&C, KB, and 21 Grams. I took 21 Grams to location near me, where they still have no KB for sale, and trade it for LS. They did this as a favor to me, indicating that the computer would no allow them to do anything with LS till 6/2. What a screwy week. On the other hand, this set for $25 (LS, M&C, KB) is probably one of the best values I've ever gotten on DVD.
