It's my understanding the Paramount now owns the video rights to Boys in the Band. Perhaps they think that this long-forgotten gem is too dated and that no one would want to see it, but I think it is one of the best gay-themed films ever. I would love to see a first-class DVD release.

I'd also like to have this on DVD. I own the laser but it's full frame and in need of an upgrade.

I agree as well. And with the great DVDs Paramount has done of more recent William Friedkin films, there is ample opportunity and precedent to get a commentary from him on this still-controversial, groundbreaking film.

Yes, This would be a great DVD release. How about an audio commentary with the writer of the play Mart Crowley?
