Browsing the dump bin at Wal-Mart yesterday, I found a DVD from Sony Wonder What's New Mr. Magoo? - Magoo's Yacht Party. It has a 2004 copyright, so it appears to be a new release. Includes six shorts:
  • Magoo's Yacht Party
  • Choo, Choo, Magoo
  • Boo, Magoo
  • Tut Tut Magoo
  • Good Neighbor Magoo
  • Magoo's Pizza
VIDEO: Source material seems pretty marginal. Lots of dirt and specks, plus noticeable flicker at times. Not unwatchable, but definitely no preservation/restoration done here.

AUDIO: Dolby Digital stereo. Nothing special.

No extras, running time is 70 minutes.

Nothing exceptional, but worth the $5.50 I paid (less than $1 per cartoon), IMO.

Actually, these particular cartoons were not among the MR. MAGOO theatrical shorts of the 1950s. Rather, these were shorts made for the 1977-1979 Saturday morning TV series, WHAT'S NEW, MR. MAGOO?, thus entirely appropriate for this forum, I'd think.
