Who else would like "The Nanny"? (1 Viewer)

During it's original run, I couldn't handle watching "The Nanny". But lately my sister has been watching it on reruns on Lifetime and for some reason I find myself just laughing hysterically, especially when Fran's mother is on there or Yetta (played by the woman who portrayed Millie on "Dick Van Dyke").

Plus, who can deny that Fran Drescher is way hot?

I'd love this show on DVD. I also didn't get into it much during its network run, but some of the reruns I've seen are hysterical. Niles and CC jousting back and forth, Sylvia and Yetta, Fran and Val. Funny stuff!

I believe this is another Columbia-owned show.

I'll pick it up. I started watching the Lifetime reruns, (never watched the network run) but the show has a fair amount of pre-existing music.

Well it looks like it's finally happening! My sister uses my Tivo to record this and just yesterday she was complaining that she would just love for the show to come out on DVD...

No doubt the news will have you excited - Columbia TriStar is going to release the first season of The Nanny on August 10th. Since this hasn't been officially announced by Columbia TriStar the date may change, but that's where it's sitting on the schedule for now.

The Nanny, starring Fran Drescher and Charles Shaughnessy, premiered on November 3, 1993 and ran for 6 seasons and 146 episodes.

Methinks Lifetime wants to milk this show to "Golden Girls" level of saturation. That show is not on DVD either.

Or maybe they're adding extras...

I would definately buy this show. They used to show this series at about 2 AM while I was at work and we would all watch it on our lunch break.
