Flintstones. Meet the Flintstones. They’re the modern stone age family.
From the town of Bedrock, they’re a page right out of history.
Let’s ride with the family down the street, through the courtesy of Fred’s two feet.
When you're with the Flintstones you'll have a yabba dabba doo time.
A dabba doo time. You'll have a gay old time.

--The Flintstone’s Theme (1965)

Dangerous Liaisons is being released in three different versions:
1.) 200 minute cut in English.
2.) 200 minute cut in French.
3.) 270 minute cut in French.

The Grand Slam Giftset includes: Bull Durham, Eight Men Out, The Jackie Robinson Story, and Pride of the Yankees

Brides of Christ has two different available covers: The "Wedding Vow" cover and the "Convent Sisters" cover.

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including (or the ones Dave tells me he's looking for ;o)). In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. So, please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like Dave & I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart prices in the standard Roundup: Wal-Mart sets prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart location. When it comes to Wal-Mart prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Mileage May Vary".

**BE CAREFUL! Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat is available in both OAR and MAR versions...get the correct one.

--Amazon is still featuring free shipping on orders over $25. Restrictions apply.

--Best Buy is offering a “bonus disc on package” with Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat this week. Minimum 50 per store. No rainchecks. The disc features the Smash Mouth music video Hang On and the new The Cat in the Hat video-game trailer.

--Best Buy is offering deals on Married With Children sets. Season 1 is available for $22.99 each. Season 2 is available for $33.99. However, if you buy both Seasons 1 & 2 you can save $15. $23 + $34 = $57. $57 - $15 = $42 (total cost). $42/2 = $21 each. Good deal!

--Best Buy is also offering a deal on Flintstones & Scooby-Doo sets. If you buy Flintstones: Season 1 ($52.99) WITH Scooby-Doo: Seasons 1 & 2 (52.99) you can save $25. $53 + $53 = $106. $106 - $25 = $81 (total cost). $81/2 = $40.50 each. Another pretty good deal! (The math computations in the last two items brought to you courtesy of Frezon Lousy Math, Inc.)

--The Best Buy flyer advertises that the Scooby-Doo set also features a “FREE movie pass offer to see Scooby-Doo 2 on package. Up to a $6.50 value.” This offer MAY be available on all Scooby season sets.

--Circuit City is offeing a “FREE Limited Edition collectable (sic) 60 minute phone card” with the purchase of Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat. While Supplies last. In-store only. Minimum 30 per location.

--Target is packaging a gift with its copies of Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat. They are including a FREE The Cat in the Hat Bubble watch. “Items are packaged together. Quantity limited. No rainchecks.”

--Toys “R” Us is advertising Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat at a “Low Price”. They’re giving away a “FREE Lenticular book mark” with the purchase of the DVD. While supplies last. Not available on-line.

--K-Mart is advertising Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat (no price listed) with a “FREE Collectible Plush Toy”. While supplies last.

Nothing much new for me this week. But that 2/$15 at Best Buy is right up my alley with both Airplane! and Edward Scissorshands--two movies I've been wanting to add to my collection. And, I've been intentionally waiting for some kind of good deal. Now, I've got it! Posted Image

I'm even considering Grease and The Sandlot at that price.

Great deal on the double-purchase of The Flintstones/Scooby Doo. Unfortunately, I can't buy either this week (starting to wonder if saving for a new computer is really worth it).

Edward Scissorhands + Grease for only $15 is also almost too good for me to pass up. Anyone who doesn't already own Forrest Gump should steal that one from BB as well.

Later on down the road:
-Flintstones (S1)
-Scooby Doo (S1&2)
-Married with Children (S2)
-Kung-Fu (S1) ...maybe
-Running Man SE ...maybe

Thanks for the round-up!

I was about ready to give up on getting Flintstones this week, due to a slighty higher price tag. But Target had the deal I was hoping Best Buy would used, so I will be picking it up this week! Thanks Mike, and don't forget to let the sabertooth tiger out! Posted Image

I can't be sure, but I was at my BB Friday night and they had a ton of the 2-disc Gumps on hand. I'm guessing its the two-discer that'll be on sale? That would be a great deal for anyone who doesn't have it yet.

Let's Definitely getting 21Grams and Running Man SE.
May be tough to pass up the deal on Flinstones/Scooby.
Thinking about Commitments, BB says this is a 4 DVD set, that can't be right, can it?
