Dang, if I didn't already have them - I think I spent that much or more per individual season!

If we're including things I got as gifts, my last TV on DVD aquisition was the "Star Wars: Clone Wars" Seasons 1-5 Blu-ray set.  (It was a "complete series" set until a Season Six was added to Netflix a couple weeks ago.)

If it has to be something I purchased myself, then it's the Blu-ray 3D edition of "Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor".

The Rockford Files - S3 & S4 (if it were not for the defective S1 sets this one would be complete... :( )

The (New) Outer Limits - S7

Just working my way through disc one of The Jimmy Stewart Show as if it was 24 golden treats -- very gentle humor, very funny, and Jimmy Stewart, magnificent (with honorable mentions to Julie Adams and John McGiver)

Mongo's Back in Town, early 70s better-than-average tv movie with Telly Savalas and Joe Don Baker.
Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown.

LEXX.  Season 1 & 2 echo (gulp!) bridge set.  But not bad for the fiver Wally wanted.  I'll just pretend they're dealing in bootlegs now.  Missed this show originally since I thought I was above it.  lol  I ain't and never WAS!  lol  Can't wait to watch it after I finish Space Rangers and Firefly.  (oh, and if I finally buy Farscape, but it'll be in there somewhere, looks like FUN!)

Didn't see 3 and 4 in the big D pit.  :(  $10 for a whole 4 season show would be nutz.  I hope...

I purchased the S1/2 and S3/4 Echo Bridge sets.  They're not too bad - actually quite watchable considering the show. :)  Like you, I sampled it a couple of times during original airing but like you thought I was above it *until* I splurged for that $5 S1/S2 set (Target for me) and found it was quite fun!  I got my S3/S4 set from Target as well (another $5) but it's been quite a while since they've had it.  It's ~$15-$20 everywhere now.

GO BACK TO WM **NOW** AND GET Farscape!!!  They have the 15th Anniversary edition of S1 for ~$13 - it's well worth the price.  One of the stores here also has S3 at that price but I've not seen any of the others... yet.

One part that I sampled on the DVDs had this little blue robot looking face, similar to something out of Dr. Who...  I can't wait to see what that's all about!

I'm more of a wait on the full deal for a great price.  $13 is tempting though...  I don't remember seeing it at mine.  But it might be there.

OK... your wish is granted!

The Gold Box Deal of the Day at Amazon is Farscape: The Complete Series 15th Anniversary Edition on BR for $52.99 or DVD for $38.99.  That's low enough I may double-dip to get a smaller shelf footprint (I own the ADV single sided "Starburst" edition sets).  Keep in mind that neither set includes the mini-series Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars which served as the series ending (condensed S5 into a 3 hour mini).  Rights are owned by another company.

Something to consider if you're making the purchase.  The BR is the PAL version upscaled to make a "HD" version (supposedly the 35mm masters are lost).  Several reviews I've read indicate the DVD set played on a upscaling player looks as good as, and occasionally better than, the BR set.  No one mentioned PAL speedup issues so I don't know if that is present or not.  This is also the lowest historical price according to camelcamelcamel.  The first 3 seasons are 4x3 while S4 is 16x9 as it was originally produced and aired.

oh man!  I have to have that.  I wonder if this sale will last into next month?  I'd probably order this on wednesday...  although..  there's several things at around this price I've been wanting, like the 3 Dark Shadow movies or Carl Sagan's Cosmos (which is on sale for about $45)...   tough choice between all any of that and just waiting.  I need to run the dog to the vet for a checkup.  She's okay, but I'm thinking she needs something for her joints.

tough to do something.  But thanks for the heads up.

3/29- well it's back up.  Amazon decided for me.  :(

Partridge Family complete series about $23.   (coincidence, there's a story about Shirley Jones celebrating her 80th B-Day by doing a HW Bush style skydrive!   I hope all goes well, sometimes it doesn't.  Maybe David should go with her, maybe it would change his life around he's having a hard time... he was on top of the world when this show aired and I hated him for it, w/ jealousy of course.  :P  now I wish him nothing but a quick recovery since life it too short to kill yourself with drive. )
