Heres the e-mail that I got from tvshowsondvd.com:

The America's Queen website, a Natalie Portman fan site, has posted an interview with Zach Braff, the director/writer/star of Garden State, and the star of Scrubs. When Zach, who plays JD on the show, is asked about a Scrubs DVD his reply is:
Scrubs will be released on DVD very soon.
Great news for Scrubs fans. This should be treated as a rumor until Buena Vista makes an official announcement.

Take from that what you will, but I'm very excited.

Best news i've heard all day. Especially with all previous threads saying it wouldn't be out until at least 2006.

They screw with the scheduling so much over here that I have missed quite a few episodes. To me this is the funniest show on TV at the moment.

Yay! Does anyone know if theres a chance it could be in widescreen? Because that would rule.

This is my favorite show on tv at the moment. I hope it is sometime this year. I have class from 7-9 on Tuesdays, and it comes on at 8 out here. Sometimes I am able to get my hands on tapes my friends make. but not often enough. A dvd release this year would be just what I need to feed my scrubs hunger.

Yeah! Great news. I tink this show is the best comedy show on TV right now alongside Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I had no idea it was originally shot in the widescreen format!

4:3 is the intended aspect ratio, as far as I can see. I don't want widescreen if it means we'll get something like Season 1 of ER, when the episodes were filmed in widescreen, but everyone was cramped in the middle, so the extra image that the widescreen ratio brought was just empty space.

good point. if it was framed for 4:3, then I want it in 4:3. A whole new side of the widescreen/fullscreen debate, I guess. The show, however it is presented is good enough for me.

Since the show is presented in 4:3 on the high-def NBC channels, I would assume that 4:3 is the intended ratio.

That shouldn't be the debate. The debate should be about original aspect ratio.

Great news! Now all I need is an "Arrested Development" DVD announcement and I'm set. :D

I'll be thrilled to have Scrubs in it's intended AR with no music edits or replacements. It's NBCs most underrated series.

Thats what I meant. I was wondering if it was shown on HD in widescreen. I should've been more clear I suppose. Still, good news that its going to (hopefully) be coming out soon :emoji_thumbsup:
