Once we have our plans set, we'll have an open
call for anyone that wants to attend.

We will select 50 people through a lottery process.

This is basically the way we have done this for
past meets.

Well I wouldn't mind coming out period, even if we don't get picked in the lottery for the main stuff. My wife and I loved our last national meet several years ago and I'd just enjoy the after hours dinners and movie get-togethers. The people make the trip what it is.

I drove to the 2001 Meet from Houston. It was a blast!! I'll be throwing my name into the hat this year as well, and crossing my fingers!!

Three truths about movies, as noted by Roger Ebert:

* It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

* No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough.

* No good movie is depressing, all bad movies are depressing.

Ron, the last time you gave preference to folks who had not attended previous meets. Are you going to do the same this year?

I'm not complaining (I think it's a fair stance to help "spread the wealth"), just want to level-set my expectations.

Craig, we could always put together a secondary meet out there sans the backstage studio stuff if we can't get on the main meet.

If we could just get 15-20 "leftovers" to still come out there I think it would be fun to catch films, see the city, have dinners and discussions and check out some HT stores. LA has a lot to offer...and then we TP Tolsky and Briggs' homes. Posted Image

Great idea, Seth. I would be up for that. The one thing I didn't get to do much of last time was the standard Hollywood sightseeing.
