Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definate price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including (or the ones Dave tells me he's looking for ;o)). In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. Look, Dave has a lovely wife and a five-year-old son that he is spending time with. So, please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like he does!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart prices in the standard Roundup: Wal-Mart sets prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart location. When it comes to Wal-Mart prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Milage May Vary".

--American Tail and its three sequels are MAR releases (This, according to Dave Lambert) These films been left OFF the RoundUp.

--Amazon is still featuring free shipping on orders over $25. Restrictions apply.

--For those of you who happen to be in need of computer ink this week (or just feel like stocking up), Best Buy is offering $10 off ANY DVD instantly with the purchase of any two ink cartridges or any one twin pack costing $25 or more. The eligible ink is Canon, Epson, Lexmark, HP or Basix.

--Best Buy is also offering a two-pack of Desperado and El Mariachi for 15.99. If you buy it in combination with Once Upon a Time in Mexico you’ll get all three movies for $25!

--At Best Buy you can also get a deal on Tombstone (reg. price $14.99). If you buy it together with Open Range, you can get Tombstone for $9.99

--And Best Buy keeps the deals coming with discounts on multiple puchases of Stargate season sets. Seasons 1-5 are all on sale for $49.99 apiece. Buy ANY TWO seasons and get $15 off. Buy ALL FIVE seasons and save $50. (Basically, buy 4, get 1 free) .

--Circuit City will give you $3 off the joint purchase of the Once Upon a Time In Mexico DVD and soundtrack CD.

The latest markdowns according to DavisDVD:

I've been waiting for the punk'd season, a friend of mine has been on a few episodes. I just recorded the marathon last night and was going to burn some DVDs myself, I think I'll just go to the store instead. =)

Just ordered Punk'd and Open Range (from the director of Dances with Wolves. Ummm like I care, and why not just say Kevin Costner!?!?!? You're trying to pull the wool over my eyes!) got both from CC $15.99 each (yeah Open Range is 15.99 at CC.com).

Looks like BB will be getting my order for Once Upon A Time... That buy all three for $25 sounds like a good deal, even though I've got the others already. Maybe to sell it on ebay?

Nothing deserving of my $$$ this week. Guess I'll have to get caught up on some past releases I missed. :)

I'm curious if Open Range will also be available for $15.99 in stores. Theres no mention of it being an online special and usually the in store prices are the same as the cc website.

Punk'd Season 1 for me this week. And possibly American Tail. I hate to buy a MAR release, but this is one of my favorite films from my childhood, so I may have to make an exception for it.

Also, FYE actually has an ad in the paper this week (probably also good at Strawberries, Coconuts, and the other Trans World stores but YMMV). Make sure you look at Patrick's BB/CC ads above, as many of these are listed in CC/BB's 2 for $18/2 for $15 deals, respectively - cheaper than in the FYE ad):

For JMS fans, Jeremiah is the big title this week. The big surprise is that Best Buy has such a low price in comparison to Amazon and Circuit City is just off the map. Over at http://www.isnnews.net
there is word about a $5 coupon for Jeremiah which would make it an even better deal.

Added to the RoundUp. Thanks, Mark!

Personally, gang, I'm liking that BestBuy deal with the computer ink. You know you're going to need the ink at one time or another. Might as well get it now and get $10 off ANY DVD! :emoji_thumbsup:
