$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definate price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including (or the ones Dave tells me he's looking for ;o). In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. Look, Dave has a lovely wife and a five-year-old son that he is spending time with. So, please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart prices in the standard Roundup: Wal-Mart sets prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart location. Thanks for the roundup! I was only going to buy Green Acres, but $34 combined for both that and Mr. Ed will sell me on both MGM titles (despite MGM's questionable selection of "Best of" episodes on the Mr. Ed set and a complete lack of extras).

The title I'm really looking forward to is Lost In Space. Woo hoo! Good thing I'm a fan of TV on DVD because it would be a lame release week without it!

Everyone be sure to take note of the BB sale prices on the Warner TV boxsets. I paid much more than that for ER, Smallville and The West Wing.

I'll take the, uh, bullet for Bulletproof Monk. I saw it on Amazon's list of new releases for this week and threw several of those titles at Mike, and he went and took my word for it. No reason for him not to trust me, right? :wink:

My confusion was indeed that it said "Special Edition" on the cover art, and I figured that it was new compared to the version released late last Summer. I didn't realize that the SE was that version, and the price Amazon is charging certainly doesn't reflect a markdown.

Well, I checked MGM's master list of releases this month, and I see that BM isn't on the list. It's not a new release, so this must be the same one as the old release. Sorry for the screw-up, folks. Blame me. Or blame Amazon.

MI-5 is a British TV show dealing with Britain's domestic spy division (MI-6 is the international spy division that James Bond works for). It's a very good show. I've seen 2 season's worth on A&E this past year.
