Hi!

Received my copy of the 2 disc edition of Bowling For Columbine that was released in the UK by Momentum. Looks like a great set, but, there's seems to be a problem. While watching the film it seems to pause for a second between ALL chapters, which means a pause every 5 minutes. VERY IRRITATING! So, does anybody else have the same problem? Any idea if Momentum is offering an exchange?

Thanks!

I've not seen this title, but I once rented the Momentum R2 of Amores Perros, and it did exactly the same thing throughout, at every chapter start. I've never experienced it with any other title, and assume that Momentum are clueless.

I will return my copy then for a refund.

I've learned my lesson not to purchase any Momentum releases again!

Actually, on reflection, I think Amores Perros was from Optimum, not Momentum, knew it was an um though. Nevertheless, it was badly encoded. I've seen some decent Momentum discs, Amelie is fine, so is O Brother! Where Art Thou?, but I usually don't buy them because they are often inferior to the R1. I bought their Basic Instinct in a sale last week and the dts has a soundtrack dropout not on the DD, which is annoying. I think they have quality control issues.

If you're multiregion, the Lions Gate Signature Series issue of Amores Perros, from Canada is excellent, and I bought it from DVDSoon for about £8 delivered a few months back.
