Gord Lacey says Dave won't be posting this week's RoundUp (computer problems). In the spirit of pitching-in and helping-out...

Here's my attempt to get us started on a Round-up:

* BE CAREFUL! Underworld is available in both Widescreen and Fullscreen versions...get the correct one.

* Circuit City: Save $3 when you buy both the DVD and the CD for Underworld.

* Circuit City: Buy both Out of Time and The Mighty Quinn for $22.

And don't forget all the rest of Dave's standard disclaimers. I'm pretty sure NASA's rover "Spirit" has confirmed that Circuit City won't guarantee their sales prices on Mars! :D

Everybody pitch in!

(Admin note - re-formatted the listing and added some additional Circuit City deals)

Excellent work Mike!

For those in Los Angeles, the LA Times had a Fry's ad that has the following:

Out of Time: $15.99
Underworld: $15.99 (actually it says "LP" but points to Out of Time, indicating the $15.99 price)

Older titles in the Fry's ad, all for $14.99:
Charlie's Angels Full Throttle
Tomb Raider Cradle of Life
Escape from New York (new SE edition)
Alex and Emma

I'm interested to know what Costco's in-store price for B5 S4 will be.

The first three seasons are listed on the web site at $69.99.

Just Alien for me. The big box set was too much for my blood, so I decided to wait for this release instead. Probably pick up the next dvd for Tenchi Muyo as well.

Just an FYI: Target has Kingpin (3-DVD set of the NBC miniseries from 2003) for $14.44, which is cheaper than any online source (around $20+).

A classic Sean Connery movie also debuts Tuesday - "The Wind And The Lion"! Best Buy has it available for $14.99, and Circuit City lists the price at $15.99. I'll be grabbing this one, along with "Out Of Time" and "Uptown Girl"! :)

Anyone know why Babylon 5 Season 4 is so much higher (+$10) than the previous set sale prices? The other 3 sets were all on sale the first week at the B & M's for $69.99. Now only BB has it advertised and for $79.99. Is this a bit of price gouging for all of the fans that have bought the previous 3 seasons? I am still going to buy it, as I have some gift cards I can use, but every little bit helps. on this practice.....

After looking at Target's ad, it looks like their price on Underworld is going to be $15.99 based on the closest price in the ad.

Many thanks, Mike, for helping out. :)

I'm very happy I got the Alien Tetralogy at Costco for $42. It's like I got the bad films and 9th bonus disc for free.

Grrrr.....the ads in the Sunday paper for Target, Best Buy, and Circuit City around here don't even list The Wind And The Lion......there's only one alternative:

[rant]military intervention![/rant]

I'm glad I preordered 10 copies of this title and put it on 2nd day air. From DDD this ended up costing about $14 with shipping per copy. I'll hand out the other 9 copies to friends of mine.

I'm pretty sure that places like best buy sold it for 74.99 the first week on the previous seasons, so not quite as bad as you make it sound, but definitely seems to be slightly higher. Personally I'm going to play the scratched disc roulette game at sams, they seem to have the best price on typically, although not always on the first day. (Barring getting it mailed from canada, which I've done in the past too).

Isn't $79.99 MSRP for B5? I know that's what Warner charges if you get it straight from them.

EDIT: I see Amazons says MSRP is $99.98

I've gone that route with all of the past season sets of B5 and ordered from Amazon.ca (lowest prices I could find), but they had shipping promotions AND better prices going on that aren't there now. I paid $59.31US for Seasons 2 and 3 there, but Season 4 is priced at $63.88US, so it is more expensive than past sets. It'll run you $72.40US with expedited shipping (just $1 more than standard). I think I'll just use a couple of Reward Points certificates I have and get it at Best buy on street date.

I'm also Buying it from BB on tuesday I too got all my other sets from AMAZON.CA and I've gotten a few popped off scratch disks, so this time I can shake the set at the store lightly to see if any came off the Hub. I also have about $220 in GC's from Xmas to use.
