since the appeal of saturday morning, or childrens tv fare is primarily a nostalgic one, i would love to see the various owners of this kind of content release "era"-centric sets.
maybe going in 5 yr chunks and sampling a wide selection of properties that have a general theme.

for example, have Artisan compile a list of all its kid programming holdings and then release box sets
vol 1 could have properties from 1960-'65
vol 2 " " '65-'70
vol 3 " " '70-'75
and so on...
just a suggestion.

otherwise i would still really like to see a Shazam/Isis box set :)

I know it is/was available in Japan, but a R1 release of "Wacky Races" (1968-1970). This was a favorite of mine as a kid.

"Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp". This aired opposite "Wacky Races" during its single season (1970)and I don't think I ever saw it during its initial run. Maybe I'm prejudiced because I like the soundtrack album so much.

"Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies" (1970)

Second for "Banana Splits"

She-Ra and He-Man all the way!!!
These were excellent and actually stand the test of time (I rented a few on VHS tape about five years ago and STILL liked them!)

I want season sets too.

I just though of a few more. They're not cartoons, but live-action Saturday morning childrens shows that aired in the 1970's:

1) Dr. Shrinker
2) Big John, Little John
3) The Red Hand Gang
4) Ghost Busters (it aired on TV years before the blockbuster movie was released. They're not related)
5) Bigfoot & Wildboy
6) Lost Saucer
7) Lidsville
8) Monster Squad
9) Space Academy
10) Wonderbug

Nickelodeon really needs to release some of their older shows on DVD.

I'm surprised that nothing has been released on "The Electric Company" (perhaps there are rights issues).

Certainly there were some big names (Bill Cosby, Rita Moreno et al) and some classic characters (Blue Beetle, Paul the Gorilla, Letterman, Fargo North etc.)

Any it had a cooler than cool Spiderman :)

I wouldn't need the complete series, but a 4 DVD boxed set featuring classic bits would be most welcome. They could even be grouped by theme: one disc of "The Adventures of Letterman" and "Spiderman", another disc of the Cos, another disc of cartoons (including the hilarious "Happy Birthday Miss Jones, you sure got nice...bones"), and so on.

It's amazing, I can't remember what I watched on TV last week, but give me a kids show I last saw in the '70s and I can remember entire sketches :)

I really need Jonny Quest, my all time favorite animated show. I was about 8 when that show aired and it was the coolest show on Tv.

I also really want Star Trek - Animated.

Another vote for the Banana Splits.
