I hope I'm asking this in the right section.... Does anyone know who has the rights to The Tick (animated series)? I think it is Fox but I am not sure. Has there been any talk about putting any episodes (or even better seasons) on dvd?

Ha ha ha! I love that show! I think Fox owns it, but I'm not sure.

It was a dark day when comedy central stopped airing this great animated series. A DVD edition would be so great. Spoooooooon! -MR

From the Fox chat: ------------------------------------------------------------ "DerekMiner: With a live-action version of "The Tick" coming up, any chance of seeing the animated "Tick" series on DVD, perhaps as a tie-in to the new show (hint, hint)? Hopefully this one's been around long enough not to be tied up in syndication issues. Keep up the good work (Can't wait for Buffy: Season 1)! PeterStaddon: Haven't really thought about that one, so I guess that means there are no plans yet. I forgot to mention to the buffy fans earlier that we will be releasing the original Buffy movie on DVD this fall." ------------------------------------------------------------ No plans yet, however, I would very interested in a set. Since we know Peter Staddon does read these boards perhaps we can try to make an impression and help him to see what good business sense it would be to release The Tick on dvd. And while we're at it, let's cross our fingers that the upcoming live-action show is good; that would only help Fox to decide to release this classic toon. BTW, just how many seasons were there?

"IT'S A YULETIDE!!!" This series MUST be made available, especially with the live-action show coming up. I'm pretty sure there were only two seasons, so they should be able to put the whole series in one set. ------------------ "I'd trade it all for a little more." - C. Montgomery Burns

I'm not one to buy TV series on DVD, but I'd seriously consider getting The Tick on DVD.

And if have the chance, check out the original Tick comics; they're even better than the cartoon!

I absolutely loved this show, and, along with The Critic, was one of those shows I have missed the most since it was taken off the air. I would buy a Tick boxset in a heartbeat!

What a great show! If released, the Tick animated DVDs would go straight to the top of the must-buy list! It would be nice if they released them all in one big set. "Give me some chocolate for Johnny Politely!!" JiM T

There were actually three seasons of the Tick. One of my favorite episodes, "That Mustached Feeling", was the third season premiere. (My vote for all time funniest episode has to be "Tick vs. the Uncommon Cold") Please, Mr. Staddon, put a Tick Animated Set on your DVD radar! Tick: "Arthur! My mustache is touching my BRAIN!" Tick: "Does your mustache ever... hurt... you?"
