I know this has probably been discussed many times on this board but I will asked the question anyway.
I have an HDTV, progressive scan DVD player, and 5 surround speakers. What is the basic connection/hookup to get the HDTV and Progressive scan to play through the speakers to get true 5.1 surround? I am new to this board and new to HDTV as I am getting one at the end of this week. I just want to know what is plugged in to where so when I get this I am not struggling when I get the TV. I would appreciate the help on this.
