I know about My Darling Clementine and The Grapes of Wrath. Is there a list somewhere?

I'm not aware of an official listing anywhere yet. I'm also interested in the 2004 lineup.

Not aware of an official listing either, however, you can add The Diary of Anne Frank to the growing list.
Universal Blu-ray Discs I will not be buying while they're offered only as Blu-ray + DVD 'flipper' discs:

The Jackal
, Out of Africa, and Traffic.

...and Laura. Hopefully, Peter S. will drop a few more tidbits in a HTF chat next year. I would guess other films under consideration might include "Lifeboat", "A Letter to Three Wives", "The Snake Pit", "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn", "Jane Eyre", "Call Northside 777", and hopefully some classic noirs like "Kiss of Death" and "Nightmare Alley" Regards,

Viva Zapata! has been released as a barebones disc in R2 and Leave Her to Heaven is soon to get a German release - hopefully these will make it as Fox Studio Classics discs in R1. --- So many films, so little time...

My Darling Clementine - 1/6/04
The Diary of Anne Frank - 2/3/04
Peyton Place - 3/2/04
The Grapes of Wrath - 4/6/04

We don't know May-December yet, but it's a good bet that Laura will be released in 2004.

"And now the reprimand, from an American critic. He reproaches me for using film as a sacred & lasting medium, like a painting or a book. He does not believe that filmmaking is an inferior art, but he believes, and quite rightly, that a reel goes quickly, that the public are looking above all for relaxation, that film is fragile and that it is pretentious to express the power of one's soul by such ephemeral and delicate means, that Charlie Chaplin's or Buster Keaton's first films can only be seen on very rare and badly spoiled prints. I add that the cinema is making daily progress and that eventually films that we consider marvelous today will soon be forgotten because of new dimensions & colour. This is true. But for 4 weeks this film [The Blood of a Poet] has been shown to audiences that have been so attentive, so eager & so warm, that I wonder after all there is not an anonymous public who are looking for more than relaxation in the cinema." - Jean Cocteau, 1932

I was under the mistaken impression that The Innocents would be a natural for the series. This Deborah Kerr version of Turn of the Screw is acknowledged as one of the great classics of psychological horror, along with The Haunting. But alas, Peter Staddon has never even heard of The Innocents. Hopefully the Chat will get the wheels turning on this so we can see it in 2005 or 2006.....
