Warner Home Video's UK division has announced their intentions to delve deep into their formidable archive in 2004.

Since the studio usually closely mimics what the US releases, the list should give a good indication as to the titles you can expect in the US next year!

The list includes new editions of My Fair Lady, The Searchers,The Lost Boys and Blazing Saddles; new titles like THX 1138, The Fearless Vampire Killers, a Police Academy box set, the Johnny Weismuller Tarzan, more Hammer films, Wyatt Earp and two-disc versions of Enter The Dragon, Heat and Goodfellas!

Not to mention more Kurosawa, Buñuel, Godard, Renoir, Cocteau, Melville and Scorsese!

Yes, it's going to be an exciting year with Warner releasing a boatload of classic films to dvd. They have several War films I'm looking forward to seeing in May along with a new release of "The Searchers" and a first time release of "Three Godfathers".

A Scorcese box set has been rumoured for next year in R1, so I'm assuming those titles may be the ones to feature.

And a re-release of The Searchers!! Please Warners, the correct aspect ratio this time and a full blown SE - some excellent stuff in that list Julian. As you say - yehaw!

So many films, so little time...

Not to overlook all the great titles, and I hope all of them make their way to R1 - but the one that I'm really looking forward to is the Police Academy boxset!

I think most of these will coincide with R1 releases, since the January/February titles are the same, as far as I can see...

great news indeed about a rerelease for The Searchers and 2 disc se for Heat.

what are the chances of a Lucas/Murch commentary track or an isolated music track with Schifrin's score on THX 1138 ?

Wonderful collection of titles listed there.

I get the impression that the Scorsese set looks a 'lock' for Sept next year.

:emoji_thumbsup: Really excited by The Searchers, have been seeing the cut up version on AMC this past weekend. One of my favorite westerns. My father brought this to my attention about four years ago. :emoji_thumbsup:

Life is good...

A scheduled release of WYATT EARP in June!!

The one movie that's been rumored every year since DVD emerged and pushed aside is finally coming! I'm so happy! Along with it being my preferred Wyatt Earp movie I think it's got James Newton Howard's finest score and I can't wait to hear it in it's full 5.1 glory!
