to cut short the tail of; dock, often by cutting a muscle in a horse's tail to make it stand erect.

As for a question: In A Christmas Story, what was the name of the most-hated soap that Ralphie was forced to wash his mouth out with and what affliction did soap poisoning give Ralphie in his daydream?

A blue coat, glasses, and one of those old-time goofy hats with the flaps that tie under the chin. He also claimed to like the Wizard of Oz.

As for a question in return: In National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, how are cousins Catherine and Eddie related to the Griswolds and how long did Cousin Eddie lose his memory for each time Catherine revved up the microwave?
