There are children here somewhere. I can smell them. (quote from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - Special Edition...FINALLY IN WIDESCREEN!!! )

[c] [/c]

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definate price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including. In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. I have a lovely wife and a five-year-old son I'd rather spend time with. Please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart prices in the standard Roundup: Wal-Mart sets prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart location. When it comes to Wal-Mart prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Milage May Vary".

* BE CAREFUL! Bruce Almighty & X2: X-Men United are each available in both Widescreen and Fullscreen versions...get the correct one. The X-Men/X2 Double Pack also comes both ways, incidentally; look carefully!

* In case it was lost on those of you who saw that last week's Roundup included Journey's Greatest Hits DVD, I got the street date wrong. This is the proper week for it to be included.

* Best Buy: Purchase The X-Men Collection and get The Abyss or Independence Day for $4.99.

* Circuit City: Buy X2: X-Men United DVD & "X2: Wolverine's Revenge" for PlayStation 2, X-Box, or GameCube and save $10 instantly with combined purchase. Nov 25 - 29 only.

* Happy Thanksgiving. I know some of you are hoping I'll do a "Black Friday" Roundup on Thursday. Sorry...nope. I will be happy to shoot the breeze like the rest of you about sale prices (and I know a couple of things already), but I won't do a formal "Roundup". Why not? Because 1) the Roundups are about brand-new releases, and 2) because it's all old stuff, every store will be doing different things. Oh, and 3) I'm staying home on Friday unless a SUPER-SPECTACULAR CAN'T-MISS-IT deal comes along. The deals I've seen so far just do not make it worthwhile to fight the crowds that morning. We'll see if something can change my mind, but I'll probably be on the excercise bike trying to get rid of the Thanksgiving poundage. ;)

David, again thanks for the round up. If I'm going to get anything this week, it is going to be Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

This is the lightest DVD week for me since September 30.

correct me if mistaken but isn't it X-Men 1.5 in the 2 pack?

if it is, what were the differences between 1.0 and 1.5?

I've got 1.0 so is the upgrade worth it?

Just picking up Bruce Almighty and X-Men two pack. But this week is Christmas shopping, meaning I am picking up what I want for Christmas (out of 250). Thanks for the update, Dave.

Dave, :emoji_thumbsup:
Thanks for the great work as always! I don't post on every roundup, but I always check it out. It saves myself and many of my friends and coworkers money every week.

Definately picking up X2 on Tues with a pricematch at BB.

Do you or anyone else know the price for:
The Legend of Suriyothai
out on DVD also on Tues?

Wal-Mart has added several "new release" catalog titles recently directly to their $5.88 dump bin. I guess if the retail price is low enough, they just toss them in, new or not.
