Both are available on dvd in Japan ( along with a large selection of Toho monster movies ). The downside is that there's no English subs included and they're both pretty expensive.

A cheaper option is to import a copy of 'Gojira' from Spain. It's in the original Japanese with Spanish subs ( removable I hear ). It works out at about $20 US.

All discs are coded as region 2 and in the case of the Spanish disc, your tv will need to be PAL compatible

GOJIRA just might see the light of day next year in the US, as a theatrical re-issue of a newly restored print of the Japanese version (with English subs) will be theatrically released in at least 20 markets for the 50th Anniversary.

A DVD release seems likely sometime after that.

If you speak Spanish, Gojira is available in Spain in Japanese with Spanish subtitles.

I'd be really surprised to see Toho change their mind on this issue.

Why? What's the difference between releasing it in Spain in its original language with subtitles and doing the same here?

They've already announced the theatrical release here in the States which will be OSL. Why would they do that and not capitalize on a DVD release?

Jeff
