i am getting my x1 today and i had a question about the resolution. its native resolution is 800x600 but it says its maximum resolution is 1024x768. what does this mean? if the projector can display that why wouldnt that be its native resolution and everyone use that resolution instead of 800x600.

thanks

The native resolution is the number of pixels the panel consists of. In the case of the X1- it is ABLE to accept a 1024x768 signal, but an internal processing engine re-scales it to 800x600, because this is all the pixels it has.

In most cases, this scaling process degrades the image quality and sharpness, and on most projectors it is best to go with the native resolution to avoid any internal resampliing.
