I picked up this set today along with Two Towers extended and Once Upon A Time in the West.

The 2-disc set includes a packed DVD with over 6 hours of material, including all the 18 videos, a live concert, Moby's crazy comedy sketches (some of this stuff is funny, and a lot of it is very odd), a bunch of audio remixes/outtakes/demo tracks, and more b-sides that could not fit onto the first 70 minute audio CD. All the songs/videos/concert are available in full 5.1 surround, and sound great. Nice menus on the DVD, as well.

Even if you're a marginal Moby fan, this is a great set that can be had for 12 bucks at Best Buy this week.

Any other comments?

Sounds great. I hadn't heard about this. I'll have to stop by Best Buy on the way home from work tomorrow.

Here is the full spec sheet from Moby's website:

"Hello

I'm putting out a dvd on November 17th. So if you'll forgive the shamelss self-promotion, let me tell you about it...

There's 6 hours of material on the dvd, including a 90 minute Glastonbury live performance, all of the videos from '18', a bunch of really dumb comedy sketches that I've made, a 90 minute megamix of the remixes from '18', 90 minutes of unreleased songs and demos, every photograph that i've taken in the last 2 years, and a bonus disc containing the b-sides from '18'. In other words, a lot of stuff.

It's good, if I do say so myself. Mr. Fish comes back, but now he's a star and you'll meet a whole bunch of new people, like Yevgeny the Tjakijistani juice salesman and some bad student film from "Eustace Tuba" who is an aspiring bad student filmmaker from somewhere in Europe, who also happens to be me. Not to mention my nervous American's guide to a Tokyo hotel room and lots more. But, I've said too much already.

Thanks
moby

IMHO, the b-sides audio CD is quite good--mostly instrumental pieces. I'm actually enjoying this CD more than 18 itself--granted, I'm partial to more instrumentals. I've enjoyed the soothing electronica Moby has recently produced. I've only sampled some material on the DVD, but the list above speaks for itself--this is a great package for the money.

Sadly my local Best Buy not only doesn't have this, but it isn't even in their computer. Off to search for it...

My Best Buy had 16 in stock, but they couldn't find it anywhere. One of the two helpful employees at this particualr store searched the stockroom for 15 minutes looking for it.

I went to a local independent record store a couple of miles away and found a copy. I'd go to that store more often if they were more consistent about getting new releases in on time.

I picked this up last night and I'm lovin' it! The DVD is jammed full of stuff, including a video made for $7500 for a contest, and it kicks ass.

If this is how the music industry is going to battle piracy...I'm all for it :D
