We'll be right back...with a vengeance! (quote from Space Ghost: Coast To Coast)

[c]Posted Image[/c]

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definate price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including. In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. I have a lovely wife and a five-year-old son I'd rather spend time with. Please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart prices in the standard Roundup: Wal-Mart sets prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart location. When it comes to Wal-Mart prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Milage May Vary".

Yecch! Crappy pricing on The West Wing from the two chains it's easiest for me to buy from -- Target and Best Buy. No Circuit City around here. I may just have to order this from Amazon despite my inability to wait an extra second for anything to come out. I may have to check out Wal-Mart to see what they've got it for. Also, if I apply the Coming Attractions coupon at BB, it'll knock $5 off.

I'll pick up Space Ghost and The Two Towers and maybe that will tide me over until TWW arrives.

Thanks again, Dave.

I am only interested in buying the 2003 World Series DVD this week. Anyone know if Best Buy or Circuit City will have it on Tuesday?

Lord of the Rings 4-Disc and 007 2 and 3 will be mine. Thanks Dave!! Now my Christmas present buying friends love your work as much as I do.

I owe you (and your wife) a case at least so far this year. You two are very giving - Tell your parents they raised you right!! If you get stranded in central IL over Thanksgiving, you have a spot at our table.

Tony, don't wait for Black Friday if you want anything that releases this Tuesday. I don't think it's worth the wait (except perhaps for kiddie titles, maybe).

Wow. Undercutting even Amazon's price is pretty impressive. But since I don't have a Circuit City in my area, I suppose my Wal-Mart will only have to compete with Target and BB's price of $49.99

Rodon, I just saw your note (you must have been posting it while I was composing mine!).

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! A *very* nice way to say it. And thanks for including my missus in there. She does, after all, put up with me spending hours working on this once a week! Thanks again!

EVERYONE: By the way, I've already enjoyed Disc 1 of Space Ghost: Coast To Coast. VERY funny stuff; highly recommended. We'll get to Disc 2 later, but I have to mention that I haven't laughed out loud so much in quite a while. Posted Image

This week will be a nice bust out of my wallet. Got $350 and after buying gifts for the brother, sister, and mom, I will get to buy some new dvds. After getting Mario Kart and Mario and Luigi, I will probably get Spaceghost, Aqua Team Hunger Force, Lord of the Rings, and some older box sets I been meaning to get.
I need a new signature.

I've always wondered why this show didn't get more publicity. As is, it's one of the funniest shows on television and certainly one of TV's best-kept secrets. How are the commentaries, Dave?

Dane, I can't imagine when I'll find time to listen to a commentary track on this. I have basically stopped listening to them due to so many unwatched DVDs I don't have time.

I too hope to find the Marlins World Series DVD but I couldn't find it on any of the B&M's websites. It is listed at Amazon.com. Hopefully I'll be able to find it somewhere. I am in Fort Lauderdale after all! God what an expensive week this is gonna be. I hope to buy James Bond Giftsets 2&3, Winged Migration, Sinbad, LOTR:EE, and World Series 2003 on DVD, plus Beatles, Blink 182, and Whitney Houston on CD. If anyone can tell me of any local Walmart's that are beating any of the Roundup prices please let me know!
