E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial - Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image - Still one of the most charming, heartfelt films I have ever seen. To be reminded of it is to feel what it feels like to be young.

From favorite to least-favorite:

Jaws
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Schindler's List
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
Minority Report
Saving Private Ryan
1941
Jurassic Park
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Empire of the Sun
A.I. Artificial Intelligence
Catch Me If You Can
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
The Color Purple
Amistad
The Sugarland Express
Always
Hook
The Lost World: Jurassic Park 2
(I left out stuff like Duel (TV movie), Twilight Zone (he only directed 1/4th of it) and Something Evil (TV movie I've never seen).)

A testament to my admiration for the guy: #1 - #15 would get at least 4 (out of 5 stars) from me. #16 - #20 would be 2- or 3-star flicks. The guy's never made an AWFUL movie, and even The Lost World would earns 2 stars on the staggering effects (and Jeff Goldblum) alone.

Very much looking forward to The Terminal next June! Posted Image
