Alright folks. What are the TOP 10 Movies you have the most fun watching. Where you can sort of put all your critiquing aside and just have a good time watching the movie.

Mine would have to be in no particular order:

1) Raiders - I always enjoy watching the indy movies
2) Last crusade - i always enjoy watching the indy movies
3) Star Wars 4-6 - I just enjoy these movies.
4) True Lies - Its a fun flick, nice action and comedy
5) Kill Bill - So far, I've had a very good time watching this movie.
6) Jurassic Park - I'm 23, so I don't have a lot of knowledge of older films as I was young when they came out, but JP got me into movies and HT.
7) Total Recall - I'm an awnuld fan
8) Predator - I can always watch this movie
9) BTTF(all of them) - Just fun movies overall
10) Spider-man - I just enjoy this film

·Singin’ in the Rain
·Playtime
·In the Mood for Love
·The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari

I tried not to duplicate anything in George’s list, which is pure gold.

Good thread. Hard to narrow down to just 10!

Airplane!
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Seven Samurai
Star Wars trilogy
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Harold and Maude
Stop Making Sense
Lord of the Rings trilogy (assuming the 3rd one is as amazing as I expect it to be)
Sleeper
The Scent of Green Papaya
This is Spinal Tap (this list goes to 11)

In no particular order:

Raiders of the Lost Ark

National Lampoon's Animal House

The Princess Bride

The Matrix Reloaded

Raising Arizona

The Empire Strikes Back

Aliens

The Goonies

Aladdin

The Quick and the Dead
(I know, I know, it's trash)

There would be some easy additions to that list, but I haven't watched them enough to be sure. Any Pixar film, Kill Bill, Pirates of the Caribbean come to mind, but didn't meet my "criteria".

Tough choices. I skew recent, I know.

Take care,
Chuck

The Sharon Stone movie? That's a good flick :)

Star Wars
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Casablanca
The Big Lebowski
Death Race 2000
Once Upon a Time in the West
Jackie Brown
Rio Bravo
Evil Dead 2
Hard Boiled

As with any list like this, I'll probably change my mind on all of these choices in five minutes or so, but that's how it stands right now :)

This should be moved to Polls.

Top 9 double features, INPA:
  • The Big Lebowski / Miller's Crossing
  • Almost Famous / The Last Waltz
  • Braveheart / The Magnificent Seven
  • Raiders of the Lost Ark / Mission Impossible
  • This is Spinal Tap / School of Rock
  • Enemy of the State (yeah, I know, but Gene Hackman is the man!) / Crimson Tide
  • Unforgiven / Tombstone
  • The Matrix / The Matrix Reloaded
  • Enter the Dragon / Master Killer

And the ultimate triple feature:
  • Seven Samurai / Raise the Red Lantern / In the Mood for Love

Ditto what Andy said. This list will be different tomorrow.

That's my favorite one! Though I admit mostly for nostalgic reasons. Jason & the Argonauts is a close second.
