I want to pick up the German classics (Faust, Last Laugh and a third whilch escapes me at the moment).
Are these good discs?
I am very excited also about the John Barrymore version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde coming on Oct. 9. It looks like a great disc with interesting extras ( http://www.kino.com/video/dvd_titles/drjekyll.html )

Regarding Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, is this the same transfer that is on the Image Disc?

Interesting, for some reason I had missed the fact that Image had already put this out.
Good question, I don't know the answer unfortunately.

The Kino DR. JEKYLL is said to be of better quality than the Image release, but about five minutes shorter.
I've yet to see a bad Kino disc. FAUST was mastered from 35mm archive materials--by David Shepard--and looks superb.

Richard, that's very interesting. I'm keen to get those Kino discs now.
Re: Jekyll and Hyde, how did you find out about the differences in the Kino and Image releases? Has the Kino one been reviewed somewhere?
Looks like I'll have to get both!
