What is better progressive or cinemotion?

I upgraded from my Phillips to a SOny and the picture is amazingly better, omg its great NOw on the DRC mode I can select the tv to display at Interlaced Progressive Cinemotion What is Cinemotion and what is it for ? the book says Recommended for 24 frames per second films and thats it Thanks

"Cinemotion" is merely Sony's proprietary name for its 2:3 pulldown compensation circuitry.
