If you want to choose ONE thing you think is over-rated, what will it be? Also, if you want to choose ONE thing you think is under-rated, what will it be? There is no need to explain your reasons, if of course you want to offend football or home theater fans! :D

My choices:

Over-rated: baseball
Under-rated: reading

Over-rated: Alcohol
Under-rated: The pride in knowing that you can't share any stupid stories with your friends about how you drank so much that you puked your brains out and almost had to be driven to the hospital for alcohol poisoning because you have too much common sense. ;)

Oooo! Good one. I'd also like to add "Kids"
Only someone without kids would make a statement like that. There is nothing, I repeat, nothing in the world that can top having children. Everything else is overated when compared to having kids.

I am child-free, so I won't address the issue personally, but an Ann Landers poll done years ago, and periodically updated, found that more than 50% of parents would not have children again if they started over.

Unscientific for sure, and the polling might be statistically abberrant, but food for thought nonetheless.

Under rated: Kids

Being a father was the hardest thing I have ever done and easily the most satisfying.
