Cool! Whenever this movie comes on TV, I just can't help but watch it. It's compulsive.

I do wonder though; David Cronenberg was the original director on this. I can't help but wonder how freaky his version would've been. Posted Image

Audio commentary with Ahnuld? Oh man, more unintentional laughs (ala Conan the Barbarian) on the way!

I can say that I'm very happy with the features and everything but from what I read at imdb the film with cut in some parts. Will this be the directors cut? Also, when will this be offical, I mean like dvdfile or thedigitalbits announcing this to confirm?

And Cronenberg's choice to play the hero was none other than Richard Dreyfuss. Man, that'd be a different film, no?

Funniest line I have ever read in DVD a review: "'The Simple Life' stars rich, spoiled friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie as two rich, spoiled friends who are taken out of their posh Los Angeles lifestyle and deposited in a small town in Arkansas..."

Well, there is a SHORTER cut doing the rounds in England and Australia that substituted much of the gore scenes with tamer alternate angles and slightly different editing. I think the version that was released in the States is the director's cut.

This is one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies...I own the current version, looks like I'll have to try and pawn this one off on my friend, who doesn't care about SE's.

No, it's not. The movie was cut by the MPAA in order to avoid the NC-17 rating.

These tin cases scare me. Having never bought one before, does anyone know if there is a normal Amaray case in there that holds the DVD, or does the tin hold it? And what else is in these tin cases? Anyway, great news!

Jeremy,
If it's anything like the Terminator 2: SE, then it's simply an Amaray wrapped in a tin sleeve.
