"Why, you speak treason!" "Fluently." (quote from The Adventures of Robin Hood)

[c]Posted Image[/c]

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definate price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including. In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. I have a lovely wife and a five-year-old son I'd rather spend time with. Please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

As always, your efforts are greatly appreciated. Niente for me this week. Next week is a wee bit different.

Seems like a lot for me this week. Fargo, Scarface, and The Tick(this is the cartoon and not live action right?).

Thanks for the roundup!

Tick is the Live-Action version.

I plan to get the Scarface gift box so I can also get the old B&W Paul Muni version of the film, which I equally love. I think I could easily spend $400 this week, but will limit myself to the $200 range. Posted Image

Of course, the Warner Legends Collection, AYBS and possibly Bottom and Victory At Sea will take a large chunk of that right there! Posted Image

Thanks for another excellent roundup David. This week ill be getting the deluxe giftset for scarface. In fact i reserved a copy for 39.99 plus tax at my local suncoast. They said that i was 1 of the last people to get in on the preorders , because they were stopping to take orders because they dont know if they can fill the big demand for the gift set. If i wouldve waited another day last week when i ordered i wouldve not got in. Cant wait till tuesday ! Posted Image

Thanks Dave for the newest weekend update. I going to buy Scarface (too expensive to get the box, so I just get the single) and Fargo. Also probably save either money or preorder Lion King this week too.
I need a new signature.

Amazon lists that the Dawson's Finale includes:

$5 mail-in rebate with purchase of Dawson's Creek: The Series Finale and Dawson's Creek: The Complete Second Season (available holiday season 2003)

Don't know if this is only for purchases at Amazon or not. I figure it must be in the case so it shouldn't matter what store you buy it from.

The Dawson's Creek S2 rebate coupon is in every copy of the Season Finale DVD.

Watch for a S2 announcement at TVShowsOnDVD a week from tomorrow.

I'll be picking up Adventures of Robin Hood and the Kids are Alright. Question about the latter. Various websites seem to be listing two different versions, a deluxe version and a special edition, but with no indication of the difference. Anyone know?

Anybody aware of any deals on Dr. Quinn if I'm willing to buy both season 1 & 2 together?

You brought two too many.

Thanks Dave.

I'll be picking up Warner Legends. I was hoping Sam's Club would carry it, but it doesn't look like it. Interestingly enough, their website was listing "Robin Hood" until recently, but it's gone now.

Walmart is showing this at $52 so I may swing by there to get it (assuming they get it in).

My local BB can't confirm if they'll get the box set it even though the individual titles are prominent in this week's ad.

Dang, I was hoping that some of the stores would flash their price for Better Luck Tomorrow. It's probably for the better (for my wallet, at least).
Scarface will be it for this week, thanks mang.

Thanks, Dave!

Maybe just Fargo for me this week. And for those who missed it, in Software this week, Robert Harris gave his one word review of Yankee Doodle Dandy -- "magnificent". Think I'll have to pick that one up, too! Posted Image

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself.Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!
