infrared receptor needed to allow tv and other components to receive commands

my center channel speaker covers up the infrared receptor on my tv and dvd. i am looking for the best and simplest plug in device to allow my remote control's (home theater master 700) commands so i don't have to stand up and control it.

any suggestions as to what brands, model numbers, and which e-tailer or retailer to buy this from?

thanks!

Sounds like you need an IR repeater system. It's basically a little rectangular box about 1 1/2" long by about 1/4-1/2" that will receive an IR signal then transmit it to your IR receptor via a small little wire. The end that goes in front of the IR receptor sticks on and then beams the signal right in. Very discrete. I think www.smarthome.com carries some of this stuff. If nothing else, check it out just for informational purposes.
