Kind of like Netflix? Or is this format on it's way out? I would be willing to pay somewhat more for the HD quality. And I know the deck's utility and value go beyond pre-recorded movies, but that is probably what I would do the most with it.

If I had to guess, the D-Theater audience tends toward buying, and there frankly just aren't enough users. Tapes are also bulky and heavy to mail, netflix can do what they do because a DVD is like 2 ounces
