Victor Fleming (and probably Mervyn LeRoy) willfully chose not to include the Scarecrow Dance in the Wizard of Oz and never deviated from this decision in his lifetime. Re-inserting it would certainly be against his expressed wishes. Regards,

Yes, that's true. I interpreted the comment to mean that the rerelease was of a film by a director still living. It would seem I was wrong in my interpretation.
