Luis, Damian is talking about movies, not DVDs, so this thread should be moved.

Thomas,

Yeah, I know, which is why I put what I did at the bottom of my post.;)

You're right though, it does need to be moved.:)

Far and away the title i most want to get my hands on is
The Adventures Of Robin Hood.

followed closely by
X2
Hulk
Raiders Of The Lost Ark

after that there is just sooooooo much good stuff coming out it would be hard to choose (let alone pay for).

(shame to let a good question go to waste in the wrong forum)

For DVD's, I'm very much looking forward to THE ULTIMATE VACATION GIFTSET mainly because I'll finally be able to own all of these great movies in widescreen (especially Christmas Vacation). Secondly, I'd have to go with A CHRISTMAS STORY. The 2-disk special edition sounds like it will be excellent, especially since it'll contain commentary by cast members. Also, this one's finally in widescreen! Next up is definitely THE INDIANA JONES TRILOGY. In all honesty, I've never even seen any of these until just recently, and what I did see was edited for television. Should be a real treat. MARRIED...WITH CHILDREN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON is definitely next on my list. The banner I made in my sig should show my enthusiasm for this release. Been a huge fan of this show ever since its debut in 1987. Last (but most definitely not least), THE SIMPSONS: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON. How can fans of this show not anticipate this release?? Especially since they've only been releasing one a year. The third season has some of my favorite episodes, including "Flaming Moe's".

DVD:

La Strada
Men With Guns
(John Sayles)
Once Were Warriors
X-Men 2
Targets
(next week!)

And I'm still waiting for some of my other favorites to be released:

Proof - A terrific little Australian film from 1992. I'm puzzled as to why this hasn't been released yet as there is definitely some marketing potential: it stars Russell Crowe and Hugo Weaving!

Santa Sangre - Roger Ebert called this one of the best films of 1989. If you like bizarre movies...

The Reflecting Skin - Another little gem reminiscent of David Lynch's work. Stars Viggo Mortensen. Hello?

Voyager - Adaptation of Max Frisch's Homo Faber stars Sam Shepard and Julie Delphy.

Night On Earth - Winona Ryder and Roberto Benigni are featured in the cast of Jim Jarmusch's taxi cab epic.

Where the Green Ants Dream - One of the few Werner Herzog films NOT on DVD.

Where are they? :frowning:
