Calling all Paramus NJ folks... Giant Painting, or Ikea? (1 Viewer)

Despite buying a few things from Ikea over the last year or so, the store is an annoyance to navigate through. Yet, the old lot was so over grown with grass, yet filled with 'history' and had that great looking painting...

so, now that Ikea is finished, wich would you rather have?

Ikea. They're going to be getting a lot of my business very soon. The one in Elizabeth is difficult to get to and smack in the middle of chemical alley. The old lot was, well, ugly. I think any attempt at something "beautiful" at the interchange was achieved by the skyramp exit. I'm so glad to have an Ikea closer to home.

When it comes to miracle mile development like 17, I say keep all the ugly stuff in one place. Access is easier and it saves undeveloped land elsewhere that might be in a beautiful and pristine place.

Ive been to that Ikea (in Paramus) You guys are aware that this thread is from 2003...

I presume the IKEA is still there.

Anybody from Paramus remember Alexanders? The Candy store inside and the giant mural.

It looks like this thread got bumped by a spammer and then his post was removed but we could still see the bumped thread.This is a perfect example of why I believe threads bumped by such posts should be re-buried.

I've read that Bergen county has that mural in storage, like it might get resurrected at some point....

Now if Wayne can resurrect the Old Milk Bar, everything will be well in the world!
