You know, the ones that are
action, action, action... silence. line. 1 more second of action. "insert name of film".
And it's gotten to the point that they've used lines that don't really rate being used for that silence - line - ending structure. The biggest case in point for me is for X-Men. I still remember it. "We're not the same. Not all of us." Bam. Hello? That's kind of silly.
The Charlie's Angels 2 trailer was really refreshing; a new pattern. More interspersed, better flow.
It seems like this pattern is pretty prevalent now though. What was the first? Did one of the terminator's use "I'll be back" as the line? I'm interested to hear theories, gripes, etc.
