| In a move that could shake up the world of e-commerce video retailing, America Online revealed plans this week for an online store to sell VHS and DVD movies as well as music CDs. |
The Internet giant is testing the service with Warner Home Video's The Matrix and New Line Home Entertainment's The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers from those two AOL sister companies.
A full-scale rollout and marketing push is scheduled for the fall.
The as-yet-unnamed service will be available over the Web to non-subscribers as well as AOL members. It plans to offer a full repertoire of film and music titles to rival any of its online competitors.
