Thursday: Meet at DTS in Agoura only those on the roster of names from the official Sign-Up thread. Please don't surprise me with people who are not registered. DTS will put on a great demo in their killer theater for us and there will be some cool things for us to take part in. There will also be time for a Q & A period so let's bombard them with questions! Following DTS we will depart about a mile and a half to WoodRanch Barbecue in Agoura Hills. They will be ready for us between 12:30 and 1 pm. I'll have some maps but it will be easy. They are opening early for our party specifically and you will have a choice of the following: Tri-Tip Roast & Baby Back Combo, BBQ Chicken and Ribs Combo, Chopped BBQ Salad, or America's Best BBQ Beef Sandwich. That is it for Thursday folks.
Friday: We will meet at Chace Audio in Burbank at 9:30. Only those on the roster will be allowed in. They will split us into groups and give us a tour and talk, ending up in their theater room. We can then go to lunch about a block away at Genios Italian restaurant. From there we go to the other side of town, to West LA and 5.1 Entertainment. I'll have a map of the rout to take but I would allow about 45 minutes to get there tops. We will get to meet their mixer Gary Lux who has mixed several 5.1 tracks for various artists on DVD-A. This will prove to be a wonderful opportunity so ask questions! We shoud try to get there by 1:30 pm. That will conclude Friday. I have just been given word that it will be tough to park at 5.1 Entertainment. Not to scare anyone away (everyone come!)but we need to condense cars as much as possible.
Saturday: Be in Temecula by 10:00. Get the address from the topic thread Sign-Ups and do an online map if you have to. They will do a killer demo of High Def stuff and more and we will go to the winery for a picnic lunch and wine tasting. Have $3 to give to the WSR staff. After the picnic I believe people are invited back to screen a movie on the system. I probably won't be able to stay so I hope that's okay with the folks I'm carpooling with!

Well, we crammed the room together and it looks like we'll have it ready for Sunday. The 124" diagonal Stuart Firehawk is up and the Marantz VP12S2 will be fired up. I don't know if DVD-A and SACD will be ready by then but I'll try. We will screen an advace copy of a DVD and maybe have a visit by Bill Hunt from The Digital Bits as he is trying to work it in his schedule. We will attempt a catered lunch following that so plan on at least $10 a person. Well folks, that's it and I am exhausted! Sorry we couldn't work in a studio visit but it just wasnt in the cards this time around. A good rule of thumb on events days is have money in case you need it. Hope you all have a great time.
